When a card is inserted into my square it doesn’t accept it or give the option to enter a PIN. How do I get it to accept inserted card payment

Can you confirm your Square hardware model so I can send you some troubleshooting steps ? Do you have any issues processing transactions using a different payment method like contactless ?

I can do contactless payments. The model number is SPC1-01.
