    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are trying to collect customer emails for our email list.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I understand you can collect subscribers on your POS (ask customers to opt-in), but don't see the options to do this in the Square for Restaurants POS. Is it there possible? Not sure why it wouldn't be an option if it is possible in the other POS programs Square offers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sarah&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;When collecting customer information&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-unlink="true"&gt;You can enable the collection of customer information on your device from your &lt;A href="https://app.squareup.com/dashboard" target="_self"&gt;Dashboard&lt;/A&gt;:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI data-unlink="true"&gt;In &lt;STRONG&gt;Device Management&lt;/STRONG&gt;, click on &lt;STRONG&gt;Profiles&lt;/STRONG&gt; then &lt;STRONG&gt;Device Profiles&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI data-unlink="true"&gt;Click on you device profile, then &lt;STRONG&gt;Manage&lt;/STRONG&gt; under &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI data-unlink="true"&gt;Access &lt;STRONG&gt;Customer Engagement&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI data-unlink="true"&gt;Under&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;Collect customer information&lt;/STRONG&gt;, toggle on &lt;STRONG&gt;Before&lt;/STRONG&gt; and/or &lt;STRONG&gt;After Sale&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Once these settings are saved, log in to your device (you might have to restart it to force the edits):&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Tap on &lt;STRONG&gt;Add Customer&lt;/STRONG&gt; before or after your sale.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Enter the information. Once you add the email address, you'll have the option to toggle on &lt;STRONG&gt;Subscribe to Email Marketing&lt;/STRONG&gt;. Make sure to have verbal consent from your customer before proceeding!&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Save&lt;/STRONG&gt;. &lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Email collection screen (only available on iPad)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you use Square Restaurant on an iPad, follow the steps above to enable the email collection screen from your device profile settings. Once set up, your customers will be prompted to add their email address after completing their payments.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;External Signage&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Finally, you're able to print in-store signage or a QR code to display it at your till. From your &lt;A href="https://app.squareup.com/dashboard" target="_self"&gt;Dashboard&lt;/A&gt;, access the &lt;STRONG&gt;Marketing&lt;/STRONG&gt; tab then click on &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
