Print to AirPrint printers from iPad apps!

Good morning!

Not sure when this update came out, but have seen (and tested) that you can now print order tickets/receipts to an AirPrint printer direct from the POS app,

Sure this is great news for a lot of people - for me it means I can print delivery order tickets to a 6x4 label printer for our delivery guys to see easily.

@Twiggy - I think this is something you were looking for before?

Thanks so much for flagging this @Sam_400º!

It looks like this was just rolled out a while back, however, our team has only been able to test compatibility with the following printer models: StarTSP654II, Brother QL-1110 and StarTSP847II. If you notice anything not working as expected, definitely let me know and I can share it with the appropriate team.

I just did a couple of test prints to a 6x4 label printer @tranguyen and worked perfectly. The format looked right and had automatically adopted what looked like a 'fit to page'. Not sure how it deals with longer tickets/receipts with a static page size but just a great option to see added even if it's limited by printer specs.

Thanks @Sam_400º I did notice this the other week and tried it out - sadly like tra said it didn’t like my HP printer. I might try it later when it’s “awake”

I have noticed a few little tweaks to layouts and square are definitely looking more at how the functionality works with printers / stations etc

So much was rolled out so quickly 20-22 cos Covid Restaurants has really blossomed. I’d like to see a little bit more tweaks here and there - like fun til laity to tap the postcode and a map open and linkage with Royal Mail !

Yea - didn't like HP Printer..... even when awake.... Hopefully this is step 1

Oh, in the Retail app on iOS I see the ability to Print packing slips. Not sure if it was always there or it is the feature @Sam_400º is referring to, but it is much appreciated. Now I kind of wish I didn't throw out my AirPrint printer. 🙄

I think it only works with certain makes of printer..... HP not one of them..... This is bringing back memories of printers/ cameras / scanners not compatibile with MAC circa 97 -07
