Hi,

Looking use square for the print shop page on a already set up website

i.e domain.co.uk/print-shop -> would be the square shop

wary of getting the upgrade and connecting to my domain if it then overides the whole site. i.e domain.co.uk turns to squareshop site

Apologies if there is a thread already / missing something!

Thanks for your time!

Hey @ScarletFrost - just to check, you already have your 'domain.co.uk' site & want to keep that as it is but add in an extra site for sales right?

Two ways to do it - both would require you to change setting with your domain register (the people you bought the name from).

1) Have domain.co.uk/shop as a redirect to your free square platform. This would mean that when entered or clicked on it would take you to the domain.square.site website for your sales.

2) Use a sub domain - this means that you create an extra web address on store.domain.co.uk with your register & this will let you enter all the settings to link it fully with square. You domain.co.uk will remain the same & your store would run as store.domain.co.uk (along with all the product links etc.).

In any event - these will need to run as two sites from a management point of view, but you can still keep the domain.co.uk that your customers trust linked throughout.

Hi @Sam_400º ,

just to check, you already have your 'domain.co.uk' site & want to keep that as it is but add in an extra site for sales right?

Yeah so site is blackhamimages.com and currently there is a holding page for the print shop blackhamimages.com/printshop this is where we wanted the square shop to sit.

so do you think 2) is the better option? fine to have two separate sites to manage - also happy to upgrade if you think that is the better way to go.

Thanks for your time!
