I am looking for a way to offer customers a quick tipping option via a QR code that we can print out. Would want the tips to show up on the tip line of our daily sales report so they are recorded with other tips from c-card sales. This would need to be very easy for the guest.. Scan the code, choose the tip amount and pay with Apple/Google/C-Card, etc. and be done. Does Square offer anything like this?? I see other tipping specific companies are offering this but would rather just do everything through Square. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you..

About us and how this would fit our business... We host many weddings and private events where their is an open bar and the guests do not pay for drinks. So many people do not carry cash anymore and are asking for an ATM or a way to tip the bartenders. Our only solution now is to ring up a sale for $1.00 and process the payment and let the guest put a tip in. Many people won't ask or let us run a small sale to tip from. Would be soooo much nicer if the customer could simply do this on their own via a sign on the bar with QR code. I believe our bar tenders are missing out on a lot of tips..

Hi @celebithaca. An intriguing idea. While you can certainly get some feedback from other sellers here, if you want this to be considered as a feature request, there is a formal way to do that and get it in the queue. Go to the Ideate Board and submit it to one of the product teams. I’d suggest one of the POS Teams, but it might be just an appropriate to the Square Online Team. You can look at the list of teams there and make your best guess. Good luck!

@celebithaca One other thing. I was going to suggest that you use the existing Donation feature in Square to accomplish this. But that wouldn’t automatically consider these donations as tips. You’d have to handle that manually at payroll time. Still, it might be something you find you could use as a work-around while Square considers your request.
