Header too large, and can't remove "select order type"

Hi Gurus

So I've got my products on my simple selling page. Now the problem is that when a user lands there it looks absolutely shocking. The header is SO deep, plus there's a white bar in it that says select order type, and I can't remove this. I can't edit the height of the header bar, or make the logo any larger so that the header bar looks in proportion to the logo. I can't add any text into the header, to save myself some space further down the page, so that's resulted in me having to add a banner below the header,. This acts as a "Welcome to the website.." sentence, and is also really deep. The result is that when you land on the page you can't see a product, just an awful header with a tiny logo, and a sentence of banner. And a lot of empty space. You have to scroll down to see the products.

Surely there's more editability than this?

Thanks for sending over the link.

On the home page I can see all the items available. You can also add Order now button in the header that will redirect customers to Online order page with a list of your items. You can also add navigation options such as Our cakes, About us, Contact us...etc to make it easy to navigate your website.

It is not possible to adjust the height of the header. You can either add an image as a logo or add text to the header but a logo and text cannot be added at the same time.

If this template is not suitable, you can also change the template to Shop all.

I can live with not being able to adjust the depth of the header. However I still have the strange, long box in the header saying "i Select order type" which won't let the user click it and is just confusing. When you access the site on a mobile it presents itself as a pop up which asks the user which location they want to collect from and gives them a random option in a search bar, or my address, and the option of delivery. But I don't want them to have to decide this until they've had a look at the products. How can i stop this pop up? They select delivery or pick up at the point of putting things into their basket, because I calculate how much delivery will be.

Also, how do I remove the confusing and ugly bar from the desktop site in the header?

(I tried adding an order now buttin to the header but it didn't take me to anywhere at all. Did I have to create the extra page? It seems a bit pointless when I have so few products)

We are having the same issue with not being able to remove the Select Order Type section in the header.

At the moment, there isn't a way to remove the Select Order Type section in the header. We've shared this with our team as a feature request. The section is there to help make ordering easier for customers as they can start their orders anywhere on the site.

If you prefer not to have this in the header, you can switch the template from Order Online to Shop All. You can do this from your Square Online Site overview when going into Website > Edit Site. When clicking in the Page: Home drop-down at the top, you'll see your Order Online page. Hover next to it and click the three dots to select Switch template.

Hey @WonderfulCakeCo and @cookiebaker37, I'm not sure if you've seen this yet but the Square Online team has rolled out the ability to hide the Fulfilment and Scheduling tab on the Homepage banner. To hide this:

Navigate to Square Dashboard > Square Online > Website > Edit Site
Select your homepage
Click into Banner and toggle the blue button next to Fulfilment and Scheduling off.
Click Publish at the top-right hand corner to ensure that the change is reflected on the live site.

When you toggle this off, the order selection will only appear on the Order Online page and nowhere else.
