How to remove Square items from linked Facebook shop

I have a very simple online shop https://the-wonderful-cake-company-limited.square.site/

I have set it up how I like it. My products are seasonal and so I take some products off when I'm not making them (for example christmas cookies).

I also have a Facebook shop linked to my Square online shop https://www.facebook.com/wonderfulcakecompany/shop/?referral_code=page_shop_tab&preview=1

It will not display the same products that my Square shop displays no matter what I do. I have tried editing the categories and items within the Meta editor but it won't allow me to, and tells me I must do it through Square. Square will display any new products I add to my online shope, but it won't take out any which are hidden, or not visible, or even removed completely from my Square account.

As a result of this I am still showing Christmas cookies and cupcakes in my Facebook shop.

Can anyone please help? I don't want to delete the items entirely.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with this, I can definitely understand how frustrating this would be.

Although it's diverting you back to Square it does seem to be an issue coming from Facebook/Meta's side, since you have removing items from your Square account altogether and having no luck.

I had a look for some troubleshooting steps on the Facebook’s Business Centre and they mention the following which may be helpful:

'On the Diagnostics tab of your Facebook pixel page, you can see a list of issues that may be preventing your pixel from sending accurate data'

There's also a section here about removing items, since this seems to be where the problem is at at the moment.

If you do manage to get in touch with their support team and they believe the issue is on Square side, the best thing is get a support ticket of their investigation and to contact our Support team directly so our team can escalate this to the Square Online team.
