Square reader - device not supported Redmi Note 8T

Hi, my Redmi Note 8T says the square reader is “device unsupported try another device”.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the square app, updated the square app, updated my phone and it’s running on android 11. Looking at compatibility list Redmi note 7 and Redmi 9 are all compatible, so 8 should be too?

anything I can check in settings please?

Unfortunately it doe's look like the Red Note 8T from Xiaomi is on there.

Hi @Hils67, I'm sorry you're running into this. @Sam_400º is right. Xiaomi Red Note 8T is not on the list of compatible devices. Following Xiaomi models are compatible with Square Reader:

- Pocophone F1

- Mi A2 Lite

- Mi 9T Pro
