Tap to Pay in the UK?

Hello!

Hope you are well.

I'm trying to activate 'Tap to Pay on iPhone', but I can't seem to find the 'Tap to Pay > Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone' option in the account settings page of the app as outlined here under 'Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone':

Does anyone know if this function is not supported in the UK by any chance?

Hi @skafte 🙂 thanks for your post.

Tap to Pay is actually only available on Android in the UK at the moment.

The article you have linked there is from the US - you can identify the origin of the link in the link itself - for example, this one is: https://squareup.com/help/us/en but if it were for the UK - would be /help/gb/en.

I hope that helps and apologies for any confusion caused.

We are working on bringing Tap to Pay to iOS here soon and I'll let you know as soon as it's available.

I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon. They are not even listed as coming soon on the list of providers. I’m terrible and leaving the reader at home so moving to Tyl maybe might have to happen

Your competitors are ahead of you at this moment - Sumup now offer Tap to Pay for iPhone in the UK. Do you have a date for your launch? If not, I'm highly likely to move over to them, and I bet I'm not the only one considering that...

Thanks, but it's too late - I've been using Sum Up since September. You're well behind the curve!
