Zebra ZD411 not connecting to Square register

Hello,

I am trying to connect Zebra ZD411 to square register, the hardware just does not show for me to be able to assign a profile to it.

I have retail plus and have created a profile also have upgraded the firmware on the ZD411 it just does not show up, I have emailed support and they just keep turfing the issue away asking me to contact Zebra to raise a replacement.

If I plug the printer to my laptop or desktop it works fine can print labels from square online dashboard or Zebra designer software or other compatible software. I have even managed to get it working with a bluetooth connection to mobile, but to the square register it just wont play ball, Anyone know what I am missing ?

I am not sure what you may be missing. When I check Printers for Square Software there are only 2 types of printers. Receipt and Kitchen. Nothing about a Label Printer conecting to Square register.

According to a Help article the 411 and Register can be connected.

Here is that Help Article: 8232-connect-a-barcode-label-printer-with-square-for-retail

Here are the steps for creating a Barcode Label with Square : 6093-create-and-print-bar-code-labels-with-square-for-retail

Read through these and see if you can get it setup that way. For me I use a desktop computer and 5 different Zebra printers, but do not connectthem to Square for Retail, and just use them through Square Dashboard and the Designer 3 software.

Hello Keith,

Well Square sold me all the kit saying it will all work but thats the same issue I am having, I can create a profile and set it as a label printer however the square register just does not pick up the hardware I have raised it with the Square support they dont get it and I have given up, currently I am now using the Zebra ZD411 with my laptop and using square dashboard to print the labels instead directly from the till. If I had to do this then I would not have opted for this label printer and gone for something more appropriate for my needs, only reason I went with this is because its supposed to work straight from the sqaure register.

I'm having the same exact issue. My friend has a shop and the same square & zebra printer and has no issues. I took my printer over to her square and it connected. Im perplexed. Did you ever figure anything out?

Having the same issue, the zebra printer will not get back to a square register all around the latest software.

After months of troubleshooting and going back and forth with Zebra/Square I gave up. My workaround is swapping the printers in/out of the port when i want to use then. If i need to print labels, I unplug the mPop receipt printer. Ultimately, only one printer can be plugged in at a time or everything fails.

I've had the Zebra ZD411 for literally almost a year, came in today to this issue and cannot fix it. I'm extremely disappointed in Square and wish I went with Shop every day 😕 anyone have any luck fixing this printer issue yet?
