Stock tracking doesn't seem to show available quantity anymore

Has anyone noticed that on the website folks can select more than is available. Our events use to show "Remaining Quantity" and not let you select more than available. Levels are getting synched as if you try to buy more than is available it doesn't let you but has a weird error stating some are missing.

So if 5 were originally in stock

1 is purchased (I can see only 4 remain if looking at the item)

On the website I can still select up to 5 but it fails

Originally it wouldn't let you select more than 4 and say 4 is remaining.

What you've described doesn't sound quite right. Could you tell me a little more about the 'weird error stating some are missing'?

If you could also provide a link to your site, an example of a product that displays the error, and a screenshot demonstrating the issue, that would be much appreciated.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.
