Domain forwarding and Social Media

Hi,

I have a square online store that works as it should.

I have since bought a domain and setup forwarding to my square store URL.

If I post my www.mysite.com to social media, neither FB or Instagram will load my store.

It seems to work using a VPN so I'm thinking there is a security issue somewhere along the line.

Any ideas?

To ensure your store link works reliably everywhere, including on social media, we recommend connecting your domain directly to Square rather than using domain forwarding. This setup allows Square to generate a proper SSL certificate for your domain (so it uses HTTPS), which is required for secure sharing and previewing on social media.

Once connected properly, Square will issue an SSL certificate, and your domain (e.g., www.mysite.com) will display and share correctly across platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.
