Is there a way to test e-Gift Vouchers, both so I can see how they work, and for staff training purposes? Or do I need to sell myself a 1p voucher and test with that?

Hey @jamesBridger, welcome aboard the Seller Community! We're delighted to have you here with us.

As per @Sam_400º 's suggestion (thank you!), the best thing to do would be to put through a sale for an eGift Card through your Point of Sale, apply a discount of 100% so you don't get charged for it but are still able to use it once your send it to yourself via email.

To sell an eGift Card during a sale:

From the Checkout screen, tap Gift Cards > Sell eGift Card.

Pick a design, an eGift Card amount and enter your email address.

Complete the sale

You can then test out the gift card by putting through a test transaction and charging the eGift using the redemption code:

Add items to your basket or enter a custom amount.

Tap Charge > Gift Cards.

Enter the 16-digit redemption code > tap Charge to select a payment card for the transaction.

Complete the payment flow.

You can also charge the gift card by scanning the eGift card's bar code or QR code. To do so. Use your device's front-facing camera to scan the QR code or barcode from your customer's original eGift card email. You can also use a compatible and connected barcode scanner.

Check out this article which gives an overview of using Square eGift Cards for your business.

Hope the above information is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions! 😊
