takeaway vs sit in pricing

Hi, i am looking for some help with the price of items depending if the customer is sitting in or taking away.

For example, if a customer is buying a cake sit it for £3.00, if I was to change the dining option to takeaway, the price would change to £2.50. To add a level of complication, the VAT rate would have to change also, which it already does but not with a price change.

Hey @cescol , welcome to the Community!

At the moment, it is not currently possible to change an item's price based on the type of fulfillment/dining option selected. This is considered a feature request. I can definitely see why it would be a useful feature though so I'll pass your feedback to our teams for better visibility.

As a workaround, you could create two of the same items in your Square dashboard, one with a set price for takeaway and the other for sit-in. For example, it could be named something like 'Chips -TA' for takeaway or 'Chips - SI' for sit-in. You'll then be able to set the appropriate VAT for each item too.
