Unique discount codes

Hello!

We would like to promote our gift card with exclusive free shipping, but we don't want to use a universal discount code (that can be passed on or posted to coupon forums).

Does anyone know how we do this, or if it's at all possible?

With Square Online Coupons you can offer discounts on the following categories.

These options cannot be applied to e-Gift Cards on your online site.

To achieve what you are looking for you will need to create a promotion and there are two options here.

Promotion: This will create a dollar amount or percentage discount available to all visitors to your eGift Card Order Page.

Promotion Code: This will create a time-based promotion only available to customers with the promo code. Note: Promo codes must be 4–20 characters long.

To create a promotion:

Go to Payments > Gift Cards > eGift Cards in your online Square Dashboard.

Click Promotion > Create Code.

Select whether you’d like to offer a dollar amount or percentage discount. If you’re offering a percentage discount, you have the option to set a maximum discount amount. For dollar amount discounts, you have the option to set a minimum load amount.

Click Save.

To discontinue a promotion, toggle the Enable button off.

To create a promotion code:

Go to Payments > Gift Cards > eGift Cards in your online Square Dashboard.

Click Promotion Code.

Enter a promo code that’s 4–20 characters long.

Select an optional expiration date for this promotion.

Click Save.

You can discontinue a promotion code at any time by clicking the ••• actions menu to the right of the code details and clicking End.
