I want to start offering Clearpay to my customers,I have had confirmation that Clearpay have agreed I can offer it. But how do I offer this as an option?

I'd be happy to help! Are you looking to offer Clearpay for in-person or online payments? Or both?

The first step is from your Account & Settings page, go to Business information > Payment methods > Enable Clearpay, which sounds like you have already done.

Online sales: Once enabled, you and your customers will see the Cleapay logo on eligible items and the payment option will appear on the checkout screen, more info here.

In-person sales: This process can be less clear as you will not see any logo or payment option, the steps to accept an in-person Clearpay sale are as follows:

Tap Review sale > Charge
The customer must open their Clearpay app and login
1. From the Clearpay App, the customer must tap Card > Tap Authorise and pay in-store > Tap Pay In-store now with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Once the customer has authorised the in-person payment via the app, the customer can tap their mobile device via their Apple/ Google Wallet to your Square Reader, Square Terminal, Square Stand or Square Register to complete the purchase
Send a digital receipt via text message or email or print the receipt as proof of purchase. The customer will also see the transaction via their Clearpay app starting with SQ*

so yeah I’ve enabled clear pay,

when you say will appear on eligible items is that on the sum up on line shop?
i already have a website just a landing page but i can add items to sell I think. I’ve got a car body repair garage so it’s not like I have loads of products to offer. But clear pay would be perfect to offer with the alloy wheel refurbishment which I can add to a site easy enough with a fixed price for 4 alloy wheels and another price for diamond cut alloy wheels.
I haven’t got any square hardware but have taken payment from the app a few times, I believe Clearpay can be used with out any hardware ?

Happy to help! Just to confirm, with your already existing site, is it a Square Online site? As Clearpay will only work with Square Online sites at the moment. It wouldn't work for example if your website was with Wix and Square is your payment processor, I hope that makes sense.

If it is a Square Online site, with Clearpay enabled, it should look something like this (on the right):

And correct, we can't accept Clearpay for manual card entry payments, so for in-person sales, you may need to look at purchasing a Square Reader or another device. @Toprefinishing
