However, if you do not want to print receipts for every transaction, you can set your account up to &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/gb/en/article/5684-skip-the-receipt-screen-to-speed-up-checkout" target="_blank"&gt;Skip the Receipt Screen to Speed Up Checkout&lt;/A&gt;. To do so:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;From the Square app, visit&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;More&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Checkout&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Signature and Receipt&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Toggle on&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Skip receipt screen&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And yes, if you purchase a &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/shop/hardware/gb/en/products/bundle-mpop-gb" target="_blank"&gt;cash drawer&lt;/A&gt;, it should still open even if you don't print a receipt with the transaction.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had a similar issue, the printer itself may need to be configured to open the drawer. I can’t remember what software I used to do this.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
