Is there a way to add a donation to a purchase with square

We are a charity using square on our website and also via the square terminal. Some charities have a step in their checkout process where you can add a donation to your purchase - can something like this be set u with square? So for example, if someone books a class/course, they get asked if they want to add a donation at checkout?

Hey @akshayapradipa, thanks so much for your post.

At the moment, there isn't a way to add a donation button during the checkout of your booking flow. However, there are a few other ways your can offer this feature to your customers.

Square Checkout Links

You can create Square Online Checkout links to collect donations.

To get started with donations with Square Online Checkout in the online Square Dashboard:

In your online Square Dashboard, go to Online Checkout.
Select Create checkout link.
Select Accept a donation.
Enter a name for the link that will be displayed to the customer.
Add an image by selecting Add Image. Select either an image from your files or from your existing item library. Note: If you add a new image to an item in your library that already has one, the new image will automatically replace the previous image.
Add a description. The description for each checkout link has a 400 character limit.
Select Create link.
Select Copy to share the link anywhere.

To get started with donations with Square Online Checkout in the Square POS app:

Enter the amount you want to charge in the keypad.
Tap Charge.
Tap Send Payment Link.
Have your customer scan the QR code with their phone, or share the link any way you want (e.g. text, email, social media, etc.).

Note: You won’t be able to access checkout links in the Square POS app if you have multiple locations.

Your customer will enter the exact amount they will donate at the time of payment.

Create a section of your site for donations

You can display non-physical items like donations on your Square Online site to highlight donation items for a particular cause. To add a donation section to your site:

In your Square Online site editor, open the page you want to add donation information to.
Select +Add > Section and choose the Donation section.
Select the section to see the different aspects of it you can customise further.
Complete your edits and Publish your site to see the changes live.
