Is there a way to add an optional service charge on the standard Square system in the UK.

Hi @Graze-Bar welcome to the Seller Community 🙂

Service charges are only available with Square for Restaurants at the moment.

With Point of Sale, we have the option to enable tipping.

You could potentially manually create an item called service charge and apply it to all bills, I know this is not a great solution in the long run - I would suggest raising this as a feature request so that our product teams are aware of the interest.
