I'd be happy to help but I'm not sure that I understand your query. Are you looking at toping up a gift card that already has funds on it ? If so, you're able to reload a gift card at any time – before or when the balance reaches £0. To reload a gift card from the POS:

from the Checkout screen, tap Library > Gift Cards.
Swipe or enter the gift card number.
The gift card balance should be shown at the top next to the gift card number.
Load more value on this gift card.
