Eat in/ Takeaway

Hi, Does anybody know how to move the eatin/ takeaway function until the end of the sale?

At the moment we have to select a coffee then toggle for eat in/ takeaway then go back to the next item and repeat the process. If we our customers are ordering something then the whole sale will be one or the other.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community!

If the majority of your clientele order to takeaway, I'd suggest customising your Dining Options to reflect this, as the default dining option is automatically applied to every order placed.

If you then wish to change the dining option for the entire sale, you can swipe your finger over the default option.

To edit your Dining Options:

From your online Square Dashboard, visit your Items tab .
Select Settings > Dining Options
To edit, delete or create new Dining Options, click Edit Dining Options > enter a dining option name or make other changes > then click Save.
To rearrange your options, click the three horizontal lines next to the dining option name > drag and drop the option to your preferred order.

We understand that in most cases an order will be either sit-in or takeaway, however it is necessary for many of our Sellers to accurately record takeaway items that attract a VAT exemption. So as you know, you can also apply a dining option to a specific item in the basket.
