Discount or offer code for payment links

Hi! I have a micro business and sell letterbox brownies from a website by using a payment link as the result of clicking the Place Order button at the end of the form. I want to offer discounts either as introductory or loyalty in the form of a single use code that I can share eg via. FB messenger enquiry or direct to email or WhatsApp. It could then be entered in the Coupon box on the payment link page. Is there a way to do this? I found the vouchers on Marketing but the QR code isn't designed for this purpose. Any thoughts gratefully received!

Here is some more information on the different types of discounts you can offer through Square. From what you've described, it sounds like you'd want to create a text or email Marketing Campaign to be able to send this discount code to your customers. Once you have created a discount code, and have sent it to your customers, they can enter the code at checkout on your payment link, to apply the discount.
