Google Analytics Code - not UA...

Hey all,

First time squarer here 👋🏼

I've just set up Google Analytics for my square site but the tracking code Google has given me starts with a G- rather than UA- and says its the same as a UA code. Problem is, when I add the G- code, square doesn't recognise it and I think I need a UA- code. Is this something anyone else has experienced? How did you get around it?

While I've not experienced this issue before, I've found a Google Analytics Help Article that shows where you can find the UA- and G- codes. If you're not able to find the code using this article, you could also reach out to Google Analytics support here.

Hopefully another Square seller can share their experience here as well.

Thanks Arie, I've figured out the issue and had to set it up again through google, using the "advanced options" and ensuring I selected Universal Analytics rather than just the Analytics 4 thingy.
