does Square provide free email account for Square business owners?

Hi,

I have an online store in Square, and I have been using my own email account to communiate with my customers and I think it would be more appropriate to have a email account for my business.

Does Square provide free email account? if not, then i would probably create a new one in gmail or hotmail...

We don't currently offer a free email account, but have some paid options with Google Workspace you could consider if you've got a custom domain name associated with a Square Online store. E.g if you own mybusinessname.com, you could set up ritcho@mybusinessname.com. Otherwise, creating a free gmail or hotmail account containing your business name is a great option, too!

hi there just following this up...

I have purchased a domain name but never set up an email account at the time, instead used gmail. Now i would like to get a more formal email. If I transfer my domain to a quare, can i get an associated email account i can use in my mail apps etc?

As my colleague mentioned above, while Square doesn't offer the option to create a business email directly through the Square Online platform, you can achieve this via the Google Workspace integration.

The first step is to connect your domain to Square Online. You can either transfer or connect your domain, so if it's your preference to keep your domain with your current host, that's not a problem.

Once you've connected your domain you can move on to setting up your email address through Google by following the integration steps I've linked above.
