Did I do something wrong when syncing to Mail Chimp or is this something Square need to fix?

I've just synced my Square to my Mail Chimp and all my contacts are now showing (in Mail Chimp) as subscribers, even though many of them are not as my data goes back 4 years, and I have only recently discovered the sign up button in square (is it new?).

While Square integrates with Mailchimp, the integration is built, and managed by Mailchimp directly. We'd recommend reaching out to their support team here for help with how your contacts and subscribers are displayed, or synced across.
