Hi @Simone27,

Thanks for joining the community and creating your first post!

There's a dedicated support article here that covers what can and cannot be applied to Afterpay transactions, when enrolled in our Surcharges Beta. This beta feature lets you automatically add a surcharge in the Square Point of Sale, Square for Restaurants or Square for Retail apps when a customer pays with a card to cover the cost of payment processing fees.

It’s important to note that when using the beta feature, for in-store Afterpay transactions, you can apply your card surcharge to the cover payment processing portion of the fee (that's your Cost of Acceptance). Otherwise, you can't impose a surcharge on a customer using Afterpay as their payment method.

Please also keep in mind that the guidance within the article is general in nature and does not constitute legal, tax or any other type of professional advice. If you are unsure about your legal obligations or where to find the relevant information, we suggest that you consult with a professional.

You can also learn more about surcharging on the ACCC's website, and see Square's Terms of Service.
