Just wondering is it possible to have barcode for users so they can scan there ID instead of logging in, any help would be appreciates.

To clarify, are you looking to replace team member passcodes with a barcode sign in system? Or are you hoping to add customers to a sale using barcodes?

Thanks for confirming @beanbuzzed! Currently, we don’t have a way to scan IDs for team member sign-ins. Team members will need to continue signing in to the Point of Sale using their 4-digit personal passcode.

While this functionality isn’t available right now, you can submit it as a Feature Request. Our Product Team monitors these requests and continuously improves our products based on feedback like this!

If your team members are tracking time with Square Shifts, they can also use the Square Team App on their smartphones to clock in and out. The 4-digit passcode wouldn’t be required on their personal devices, and with a Shifts Plus subscription, you can enable geofencing to ensure clock-ins and clock-outs are done within a set radius of the work location.
