Alert when new online orders come in

In 2019 the following post raised a valid concern regarding online orders dropping in silently. Unless you're watching the printer you will not be notified of a new order.

Nothing has been done to solve this problem as confirmed by my chat with Square support.

Under their suggestion, I'm creating this post in the community forums.

Uber eats, Menulog and Doordash all have audible alert systems for when orders drop in. Why is it that the Square POS register cannot make a sound when a new online order drops in?

Please - we need support on this - we need the POS to make a noise when a new order drops in.

I can certainly appreciate your frustration here, @CarlosFFB, and I wish I had more news to share with you on this. While we don’t have any updates at the moment, if this changes, a Community Moderator will be sure to loop back on this active Feature Request thread and let everyone know.
