&lt;P&gt;While I can only speak for the Australian conditions of linking a bank account, this could be an issue if the bank &lt;STRONG&gt;requires&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;two signatories to access the account.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In Australia, if an account needs two signatures to access funds then generally it won't be considered a "transactional" account, and wont allow 3rd parties like Square to access the account for withdrawals. We'd need to withdraw from the account, for instance, if you processed a refund for a customer and had no outstanding balance in your Square account at the time. Because of this, if we can't withdraw then the account won't link.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I imagine this is probably similar in the UK, though I'd recommend giving their &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/gb/square-support" target="_self"&gt;support team&lt;/A&gt; a call on&amp;nbsp;0800 098 8008.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Note that if an account features multiple signatories but only requires one of them to access the account, this should be ok.&lt;/P&gt;
