I'm looking to offer eGift Cards that can be redeemed in store using my square pos as well as online. The snag is my online store is an external marketplace ( discogs.com a specialist marketplace for vinyl records cds etc)

Thanks for getting in touch!

Square's eGift card will only work in Square's POS unfortunately - it's not compatible with other platforms.

I took a look and it seems that at the moment the only form of payment Discogs allows is PayPal/credit cards, and don't have a gift card system of their own - I wish I had better new for you, but unfortunately there's no way of getting Square's giftcard system working for selling on Discogs!

Can a customer pay for an eGift card with PayPal ?

I just enabled PayPal for my site but when paying for eGift Card only credit card option is displayed.

@GoulburnWestern not at the moment unfortunately - eGift cards are sold via the Square Website rather than than Square Online platform, and PayPal isn't an option here. It's credit or debit card only at the moment.
