&lt;P&gt;It sounds like perhaps the reader has been disconnected?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you're not seeing a bar at the top of the screen that says "reader connected" or "reader reader" then you can try the following steps to reconnect your reader:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;1) Forget the reader from anywhere it appears in your Bluetooth settings and also the Square app (via Settings &amp;gt; Card Readers)&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;2) Hold down the button until the lights completely STOP flashing red. This performs a hard reset on the reader.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;3) Once you've reset the reader, try connecting the reader again (via the Square POS app and NOT your device Bluetooth settings) then running a $1 test transaction on your own card as per the &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/5639-set-up-the-square-contactless-chip-card-reader" target="_blank"&gt;instructions here&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Why my contactless&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;payment option suddenly disappear? Only manual card entry is available. When i first got it, i tried to charge&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;$1 to my wife cards via contactless method. And it worked. But now, only manual card entry is available. Its troublesome. Please help&lt;/P&gt;</description>
