BETTER BREAKDONW OF ITEMS

I want to list items in the following way.

ITEM OPTION VARIATION

Items: iPhones > iPhone 7 : LCD Generic $1

LCD Original $2

Charging Socket $3

Audio Chip $4

Touch IC $5

Then I want to repeat for other models. However, it doesnt flow all that well and all the variations double up.

I want to be able to click on the item which is iPhones, then click on the model of the iphone I want say iPhone 7, then a list of the variations of repairs I do to show, with the price.

At the moment the best i can work out is to have a massive long list and I have to scroll down for ages until I find what I need.

Any videos on how to do it....if its possible to do it?

Hey again @MACDROID,

At the moment there's no way to change how items are listed on the POS app for phones.

Based on this post and your other one about the PIN entry keypad size, you might want to check out using a tablet instead of a phone. While using a tablet won't work in the exact way you've described, it will allow you to set up item grids, which allows your to add items or categories to a grid display to navigate items in an easier way at checkout. This would also give you access to a larger PIN entry keypad!

If you want to stick to using a phone, keep in mind there's also a search bar at the top of the list - if you type in the first few letters of what you're looking for it should make things quicker than scrolling through your entire item inventory!

Hi again Seamus. Im not sure you're understanding what I'm asking.

I don't need a change on the Square App to make it work on phones. I know it works on phones.

I use it on 2 ipads as POS terminals.

Im asking if there are any videos that can show me how to setup a 'flow tree' so that I can list the devices I repair. Call it options, variations whatever terminology you like, I just need an answer to the question please.

So I have a list of iphones i repair, IP5, Ip6, IP7, IP8, IPX, IP11.

Now when I go to ITEMS, the first thing I want to see is iPHONE Repairs.

Then when i click on that, a list (as above) of all the iphones I fix appears .

They say I click on iPhone 8, another list appears with the different types of repairs I do and the price associated with that repair.

Thats what I need. Sorry if I was unclear earlier.

IS there a video that can show me how to do this please?

Hey @MACDROIDS, sorry for the misunderstanding!

The answer is unfortunately still the same, as Terminal runs the Square app for Android phones. My original advice is the same for iPhone, Android phones and Terminal. What you're looking to do here isn't doable on the POS app at the moment I'm afraid!

We are looking at ways of improving this flow in general - I can pass your feedback on to the appropriate team for consideration, as per your other request you can read more about how feature requests work here.
