Product specials - highlight & prioritise

Hi.

Is there any method of promoting (highlight & prioritising - not marketing :-)) in the Online Shop or Square app products which are on 'Special'. For example with seasonal bundles of products which we would want to highlight.

I had figured to create a Specials category & have these in the Featured Items on the Welcome page. However, I cannot select a category & have its items displayed in Featured Items.

Featured Categories shows only the image for the category, not the items under it.

In the Products Page (showing all products split into their categories), is there a way to have the Specials products highlighted (thinking back but not wanting the old yellow Specials star). Even being able to have Specials listed first or being able to set the default sorting order to be by a category list.

Hey @BodyHarmony,

There's no way to feature a category on "Featured Items", however you can achieve the desired result by adding the individual items you want displayed in the featured item section - this would just be a matter of arranging individual items in the order you want them to display!

I had thought of adding the items from the Specials to Feature Items & had done so.

I was hoping to add a category in the case where there are a lot of items.

I thought to have one item from the category on Featured with all the Items linked as Similar Items. However, I cannot find the switch in Online Shop Console for Shop All as on https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/6904-customize-item-pages-in-square-online-store

Unfortunately you won't be able to feature a category, however I will pass on your feedback!

For the "Similar Items" feature, are you set to the "Shop All" template?

If not you can do this from Category pages > Order Online > "..."

Once you've done this, go back to the editor drop down menu.

Under "Item Pages" you can see a list of items. Click on the item you wish to add "Similar Items" to and finally you should see the option here:
