Hi everyone 🙂

I have a question about discounts. Now I understand that I go into Items on the Dashboard and put a discount and check which items I want to apply the discount to, so when the customer checks out on the Square it calculates the percentage off..and that works! 🙂 But what if I want to do it in my online shop? I know that I can adjust the price to a sale price, but do I need to do each and every item separately? I am a little confused also... if I put a price in the Online Item Library it automatically adjust it on Square, so if I put a % off in my Online Item Library will that automatically adjust the prices in Square? I know its a kind of silly question, but I dont want to adjust the prices online and then when someone uses the Square at the market that it takes double the discount.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey @RobbieB,

Definitely not a silly question!

Square Online actually has a completely different system to applying discounts than Square POS / Invoices / Virtual Terminal.

You won't be able to apply your discounts through online store, and will instead use a coupon system.

Ideally you'd want to keep the item prices the same both on POS and Online, then either apply a discount and POS or have a customer use a coupon online.
