how to change receipt date?

When a receipt of payment was applied to an invoice it has dated receipt as the date I applied the payment however this was not the date payment was received. How do I can the receipt date please?

There's no way alter the date on an invoice unfortunately - I'm assuming that what happened here was that a payment was made outside of using the invoice itself to make the payment?

If the payment was originally made on Square's system you can resend a receipt (aka Tax Invoice) for the payment that will be marked as being paid on the original day the payment was made. If the payment was done outside of Square though, you would need to look at creating a receipt independently of Square's system.
