Hi there

Could charge customers using Virtual cards?

I’m trying to do it , but is not working ! Could you help with it ? or I can charge online normal card .

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community 🙂

Virtual cards are often restricted by the providers to work only at certain businesses - eg places like booking.com may restrict their cards to accommodation businesses.

Experiences can vary, however the usual thing to look at is what Merchant Category Code (MCC) your virtual card issuer will allow to be used on their card. I'd check this with your card provider then you can also check in with Square support to find our what your MCC is. In some cases we can change the MCC on your account, in others I've heard of card issuers changing which MCCs the card can accept payments for - this would be the solution in the event that Square doesn't have access to the MCC your card provider requires.
