    <description>I haven't started using Square yet. In learning mode. When I accept an online order, as I understand it, the order is listed as a NEW order and must be accepted. If it is not accepted for hours what happens? Is there a way for the order to automatically be accepted and closed?</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;With the Square Online platform, orders actually flow through based on your online store settings&amp;nbsp;(eg pre-set hours you're open to accept orders) and don't actually need to be accepted - it's assumed that if you're set as open to take orders then you'd like orders flowing through!&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You can read more about &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/6695-manage-your-online-orders-with-square" target="_blank"&gt;accepting orders here&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;and if you want to &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/7228-limit-online-orders" target="_blank"&gt;limit orders within a given timeframe check here&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Once an order has arrived you can mark it as&amp;nbsp;"In Progress", then&amp;nbsp;"Ready" and finally&amp;nbsp;"Complete".&lt;/P&gt;
