Connecting square reader to ipad without bluetooth

Hey all,

I’m trying to figure out ways to make my checkouts a bit more smooth and efficient. Am I able to connect my square reader to my iPad via USB instead of bluetooth? Or is this the whole point of a square stand? I figure most of my time is wasted trying to reconnect my reader wirelessly via bluetooth and as I already have an iPad and a square reader this would be convenient if I was able to just connect the two via cable without buying a stand.

Thank you for reaching out! Welcome to the Seller Community 👋

The Square Reader can be connected to the Square Stand via the dock that connects to the included USB hub. At this time, this is the only way to connect the Square Reader without using Bluetooth.

You could also consider the Square Terminal as it's an all in once device that doesn't require to be paired to a reader to take payments.
