terminal not recognising barcodes

I've purchased the LS2208 scanner compatible with my square terminal and I have connected it through the hub. My barcodes are UPC however they are not recognised when I scan my products. Do I have to enter the barcodes into the items. Unsure of what to do. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're having trouble with your barcode scanner!

I don't actually have experience using one of these myself, however you can find a general troubleshooting guide for barcode scanners on our website, as well as a setup guide for the LS2208 on Zebra's website.

I also did a search on setting up Zebra scanners to scan UPC and found this guide - I think this may be the one to use, let me know how it goes!
