Has square devceloped a report that shows cash tendered and change?

When the cash drawer report has a shortage or overage I have to go to each transaction to view amount tendered to try to find the error. Is there a report that will show tendered and change amount that will speed up this process?

Hi @BLB. There is no such report in Square right now. Square does not keep the amount tendered for any transaction, but rather just takes the amount entered so that it can compute change to display to the cashier. At this point, since Square does not actually record the amount tendered for each transaction, there would be no way to develop such a report, even on your own which is normally what I would recommend.

So… the only suggestion I can make is to head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to one of the Square POS teams. They will review it and decide if that is something they want to put on a future product roadmap. Note that you should state your issue clearly, make you case for why this would be a good feature to have not only for you but for other sellers as well. Square staff will post replies to your idea during the evaluation process and let you know their decision.

Also, I should say that it is wise to remember that Square has most likely set their product change roadmap a few months in advance so they can plan manpower and budgets to make the new features on that roadmap a reality. Which is just my way of saying that even if Square decides to add this to a future roadmap it will not come quickly.
