Set up credit card/EFTPOS payments

Hi, newbie here. I just received my POS reader and I can't get it to take a payment from a card. I can enter an amount, hit Charge, select payment type other for EFTPOS and the payment completes withour me presenting a card.

I am a mobile store (markets) and need to be able to take payments for of the shelf items

Can anyone help with this please.

Hey @Killer-Kaz,

Thanks for writing in and welcome to the Seller Community 😊👍

When processing test payments with your Square Reader, you'll have to enter an amount of at least $1, which is the minimum amount that can be charged on a card purchase. If you're selling items for less than $1, you can still use the Point of Sale app, however, those transactions would have to be paid in cash.

Oh thanks so much. I was testing it with 5 and 8 cents. I just tried one for $10 and it worked. I can rest easy now knowing it works. I really appreciate you qucik response and have a fantastic day.
