can not set up appointmnets on facebook

Hi everyone,

I am new to Square Appointments and to Facebook and for the life of me I can not get the two to work together. I have tried all the how to's i can find, they all seem to make it very simple, just click a few buttons. I have no problem until I get to the create business window. Then I get the following message.

"You're no longer allowed to use Facebook Products to advertise. You can't run ads, manage advertising assets or create new ad or business accounts. Learn more"

I can not click on the learn more part at the end. I have tried Google and I keep getting information about advertising.

Clearly I'm being a bit useless and missing something but can I work out what that something is?

I have tried setting this up on my phone and on my desktop both give me the same answer.

I haven't published my Facebook page yet, could this be the problem?

Hopefully somebody out there can show me my mistake. I do apologies if this is something that has been answered previously, I'm really finding it difficult to fix.

Hey @leew,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're having trouble with Facebook!

The error message you're seeing sounds as though Facebook has restricted your ability to conduct business on their platform, which is not something Square has any say in.

Did you click the link that says "learn more"? This should give you more of an idea of what's going on here, from the Facebook side!

Thank you so much for your reply. Clicking the learn more did nothing. But a friend has suggested the same, that it’s a Facebook problem, so with your advice adding to this I’ll get on to Facebook.
