Allocating items to different printers

Hello,

We have just set up with Register from Stand. I am trying to allocate food items to one printer and coffee items to another. I have set up 2 printer stations but cannot find where to set the food category to the kitchen printer and the coffee category to coffee station. Any help would be wonderful.

Hi there, I'm assuming square for restaurants?

Printer destination is determined by item category.

In the settings for the specific register, you turn on the order type (ie in person orders). From within there you can choose the categories to print for that printer.

You need to do this on each register as the setting is specific to each station.

Hi there!

If we have ONE register/POS, can we have have one category - for example, coffee drinks, go and print to one specific printer? So food items don't print there

If you'd like to exclude some of your item categories from printing on a specific printer, you can follow the steps listed here, and uncheck any categories that you do not wish to print in the "categories to print" section of the printer station settings.
