thread What effect does Shifts has to appointments availability? in Payments Troubleshooting

Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light on this!

I have set up each staff availability under Shifts > Availability and under Shifts > Shifts, but these seem to have no effect at all on the actual Appointments availability for each staff. It seems that all availability simply follows the availability set under Appointments > Staff when selecting STAFF MEMBER HOURS.

I need to plan in advance and set different shifts/availability throughout the year. Can I do it at all, or am I stuck to a single availability set under Appointments?

Thanks guys.

Hi @alexwb,

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

I've just done some testing on my Square Appointments site, and across Team Member availability, vs. shift availability and see what you mean. The information entered for your shifts, doesn't speak to the Staff availability in Square Appointments. I'm imagining your ideal scenario would be to enter staff availability in one place, and for it to populate across Appointments automatically. Let me know if that sounds right, so I can be sure to pass on the most detailed feedback possible to our team for consideration!
