how can I split tickets between two kds's?

I want to use two of the square KDS's to display our tickets but want to split the tickets between them. For example one order goes to kds 1 and the next order goes to kds 2. Is there a way to do this?

In terms of splitting the tickets, are you wanting a duplicate of the ticket sent to two different stations? Or are you wanting certain categories on the ticket (E.g drinks) sent to different stations?

Hi!

I can do both of those, I’m just trying to figure out if there’s a way to send every second ticket to one KDS and then the other to another.

for example customer orders one coffee and it goes to kds A, then the next customer orders a coffee and it’s sent to kds B

There isn't an option to alternate orders when routing from POS devices with Square KDS.

However, I can certainly pass on this feedback to our Product Team. Is there a reason, in particular, you would prefer the option to alternate orders?

Once I have a better understanding of how this feature would be beneficial, I can include this context in the feedback I pass on to my team.

Hi! We just got a second KDS and want to split certain categories (ex: drinks, sandwiches, etc) to different KDS’s
