How do a process a gift card to donate to a charity without messing up my EOD and Accounting

I have heaps of charities asking for donations (I'm sure you all do) I cant afford to keep giving away product without any hope of a person coming into my store. I want to donate my Sq gift cards, so they have to come in store if they really want stuff. How do you set you a gift card as a donation so you don't mess up your end of day and bank, that will result on chaos when reconciling your accounting software?

Hey Darkrage,

It's not something that is really clear. I use the online e gift cards for donations. I have created a discount code to make them free for me to purchase and then I email the gift voucher to whoever I want.

This way they can only use it in our store online or in person.
