I need to update my square site regularly for my business and I always do a test purchase to make sure everything is working.

I used to simply cancel or refund the transaction afterwards but now there are fees incurred.

Is there a sandbox environment that I can test my online shop through so I do not have to be charged?

If you are looking for a Sandbox environment for Square Online, at this time this isn't something we offer. However, if this is a website integration you are talking about then you may find your sandbox/testing keys inside your developer panel.
