&lt;P&gt;While you can check for declined payments by accessing the &lt;A href="https://app.squareup.com/dashboard/sales/reports/transaction-status" target="_self"&gt;Transaction Status report&lt;/A&gt; in your online Square Dashboard, Square doesn’t automatically collect cardholder contact information.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If a payment is declined and you don’t process it again while the customer is present, you won’t be able to retry the payment later without them. We're also unable to contact the customer on your behalf, as their information isn't automatically recorded in our system - unless you've manually added them to your &lt;STRONG&gt;Customer Directory&lt;/STRONG&gt; during checkout, with their consent.&lt;/P&gt;
