Hey, just wondering if there are other Health care clinic in the group using square that receive insurance payment with virtual credit cards? I am finding we are paying a 15.8% fee to process the virtual credit cards because we need to manually enter the number since it is on a paper not a physical card. Today we processed $2089.64 in virtual cards and our fee $329.72. That is nearly 4 times higher than our prior "expensive" processor through our bank! Anyone else running into similar situations?

What you’re reporting here doesn’t sound quite right, as the fee for manually entered payments (keyed-in transactions), is 3.5% + 15¢.

You can view your fees on a per-transaction basis from the Balance tab on your online Square Dashboard:

Visit Balance in your online Square Dashboard.
Select a date range from the date selector tool in the upper-left corner.
Select a transfer from the list for an overview of the total fees paid.

You can also view the fees for a specific date by heading to Reports > Sales Summary on your Dashboard. You’ll see the fees charged towards the bottom of the report, just above Net Total.

From the Reporting area of your Dashboard, there is also a dedicated Fee report which provides a monthly overview.

Could I ask that you visit these three areas of your Dashboard and let me know if there appears to be a discrepancy? If the fees charged align with the 3.5% + 15¢ that Square charges for manually entered payments, could you check your linked bank account and let me know if you see a discrepancy in the transfers you’ve received?
