Tap to pay on iPhone via Invoices App?

I just found out that I am able to tap a credit card directly on my iPhone in order to charge a customer, without having to use my card reader. That’s a big deal to me, I’m very happy to see this feature.

My question is this: I always use the Square Invoices app, I never use the Square point-of-sale app. But it seems like the only way to use the tap to pay feature on the iPhone is through the Square point-of-sale app.

Will the tap to pay via iPhone feature be coming to the Invoices app?

At this time there is no news of this becoming available on other platforms. However, I will keep my eyes peeled for any updates.

Thank you for the reply. You mentioned other platforms, just to clarify my own post, I was speaking about Square’s own Invoices app.

Currently I am able to accept all the other types of payments including credit card payment via a card reader through the Invoices app. So I assume at some point the “tap to pay“ through the iPhone will also come to the Invoices app, or at least I hope.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say other Square Platforms or verticals like Square Invoices. Thank you for asking.
